Rental Policies
RESERVATIONS & PAYMENT
We carry a large inventory of items, however to ensure
quantities and availability, reservations are recommended well
in advance. Since items are on a first come, first serve basis,
we recommend tent reservations be placed at least 2 months in
advance, and other items 4 weeks in advance. Reservation
deposits are required.
A 50% deposit is required on all reservations. Quotes and
proposals do not guarantee availability of rental product. Tent
deposits are non refundable and all other deposits are
refundable up to 2 weeks prior to the event.
All renters must provide a valid driver’s license and a
valid debit or credit card unless we already have them on file
in our system.
For delivery service, any remaining balance must be paid in
full 24 hours prior to the scheduled delivery day. Pickup orders
can pay in full upon arrival.
You and your representative, agent, or principal shall be
responsible for and shall pay Celebrations all charges
hereunder. If the rental charges are charged to someone other
than the Renter, the Renter represents he/she is the agent of
such party, and has the right to charge this rental; the Renter
nevertheless will remain liable for the charges and for the
other obligations and responsibilities of the Renter hereunder.
RENTAL CHARGES, QUANTITIES & TERM OF RENTAL
Reductions to item counts can be made until noon, 2 days
before delivery or customer pickup. After that, orders are
packed, staged and invoiced, and therefore cannot be reduced.
Additional items and quantities will be accepted until the
close of business the day before a delivery, or until the time
of customer pickup. These additions will generally be packed and
invoiced as a separate order.
In general, prices are for a single day’s charge, which
includes the prior day’s pickup or delivery, the actual day of
use and the day following to return the items. Sundays and
holidays are excluded.
Rental charges are billed for the time out whether used or
not.
If you wish to rent items for additional days, you must
first get approval from us and agree to the appropriate
additional fees. If the contract has not been extended and you
fail to return the item(s) when due in, Celebrations, to enforce
its property ownership of the item(s) and to protect its
interest under this contract, may retake the item(s) at any
time. Celebrations or its representatives may enter your
property and you expressly consent to such entry and waive any
rights of action against Celebrations for such entry and
retaking. In addition, you acknowledge that the failure to
return rented item(s) within the contracted time and the sale or
concealment of rented item(s) are prohibited, and that such
action may constitute a crime. Celebrations, in addition to any
other action we may take, may notify the authorities and take
other action, including the filing of criminal complaints,
subjecting you to prosecution.
Delivery
We offer a delivery service for your convenience at an extra
charge. Our delivery charges are based on delivering to a dock,
door or garage that is easily accessible to our trucks, and
generally do not include any set up or take down. If deliveries
require us to carry items a distance greater than 75 feet, up
stairs or in elevators, there will be additional charges. Please
call for a quote.
Deliveries are made 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday. Additional charges apply for
special deliveries outside our normal hours.
It is very difficult to guarantee narrow delivery times and
if we need to do so additional charges will apply. You may call
the day of your delivery to get an approximate time your items
will arrive.
The customer is responsible for order confirmation and
accuracy upon delivery. Please notify us at the time of delivery
if items are missing or damaged to receive a refund or credit.
If we are asked to deliver when there is no one available
for confirmation, the quantities and items listed on the invoice
will be considered received.
Deliveries may be made several days before the event and
picked up several days after the event. Responsibility for the
equipment remains with the customer from time of delivery to the
time of pickup.
SET UP AND TAKE DOWN
In general, set up or take down is not included in delivery
or pickup charges. We do provide setup and take down service at
an additional cost. Some items such as larger tents or certain
decor items must be set up by us, and that charge is included in
the rental contract.
SITE PREPARATION FOR TENTS
Customer must inform Celebrations of the existence of any
underground sprinkler systems, lines, pipes or conditions that
may interfere with the ability to stake and/or anchor tents and
equipment. Customer assumes responsibility for any damage to
underground equipment, lines or pipes in absence of such notice.
We assume no responsibility for damage to buried lines such as
dog fences, gas lines, electrical lines, outdoor lighting,
septic systems, sprinkler systems and other such items.
The tent manufacturer highly recommends that all tents be
installed and staked down. Customer requests for any other type
of installation require the customer to accept liability for any
damage to any or all property.
PICKUP
Pick up service is available 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday
through Friday and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday. Additional
charges apply for special pickups outside our normal hours.
All items should be clean and assembled in the same single
location as they were delivered, unless the customer has
contracted and paid for set up and/or take down service.
Tables & chairs must be folded, stacked and ready for pickup
unless the customer has contracted and paid for set up and/or
take down service.
CONDITION OF RETURNED ITEMS – CLEANLINESS, LOSS & DAMAGE
Dishes, silverware, utensils, holding units, etc. must be
well rinsed, food free and re-packed in the same containers
as they were delivered. Linens should be dry, free of loose food
particles and debris to prevent mildew and staining. Linens that
are returned with burns, holes, tears or are permanently stained
will be billed at replacement cost. Stoves, ovens & grills must
be returned “scraped off” clean, otherwise an additional charge
for cleaning will be applied to the final price.
Customers are responsible for all rental items from time of
pickup or delivery to time of return. This responsibility covers
all broken, damaged or lost equipment including containers,
carts, crates, boxes and other storage and delivery items.
Payment for any damage or loss will be due on the return date.
China, glassware, etc. will be considered broken if returned
chipped. Chipped product cannot be rented again and must be
thrown away. If you discover a chipped or broken item when you
unpackage It, you must call us immediately in order to have it
replaced or taken off your bill.
Please keep items out of the weather to avoid damage.
DAMAGE WAIVER
Celebrations guarantees that its rental equipment is in top
working condition. We realize, however, that accidents can
happen during an event. Our damage waiver is a one-time
non-refundable charge that protects the customer against
additional charges for accidental damage, loss due to fire,
collision, windstorm, upset, riot and burglary (provided there
is evidence of forced entry). We exclude from this waiver any
loss or damage due to theft (other than burglary) misuse or
abuse, vandalism, theft by conversion, intentional damage,
mysterious disappearance or other loss due to your failure to
care for the rented item(s) as a prudent person would their own
property. If any such loss tends to indicate a crime may have
been committed, a further condition of this waiver is that you
must file a report with the proper law enforcement authorities
and furnish Celebrations with a copy. In addition, if you have
insurance for the loss or damage, you shall exercise, and shall
empower us to exercise, all your rights to obtain recovery under
your insurance; shall cooperate with Celebrations to obtain
recovery, and all insurance proceeds shall be given or assigned
to Celebrations. The customer is not required to accept the
damage waiver, but will be held libel for damages that occur.
